Angel Reese Unapologetic About Playing With Caitlin Clark Despite Criticism

During the 2024 WNBA All-Star game in Phoenix, Arizona, fans witnessed Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese and Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark sharing the court for the first time. The two standout rookies, known for their intense rivalry from their college days with the LSU Tigers and Iowa Hawkeyes, put aside their differences for the event, providing a much-anticipated collaboration.

On the Friday before the All-Star game, Reese commented on the opportunity to play with Clark, which sparked backlash from some fans. She said, “Everybody can wear their get-along shirts for one day at least. I know a lot of people are gonna come and watch us. There’s an awful lot of talent within both rosters.”

Despite the initial backlash, Reese expressed a more positive sentiment during an in-game interview with ESPN at the All-Star event. “It’s so cool. I know when she gets the ball, I’m running to look for the ball because I know she’s gonna throw it. She’s been great to play with,” Reese stated.

Reese and Clark have faced each other five times since their 2023 college championship game, with Clark holding a 3-2 edge. However, Reese had the last laugh recently, as the Sky defeated the Fever in their latest matchup.
