Another signing is imminent, Player and official arrive in England to finalize move to Nottingham Forest

Just over a week ago, Nottingham Forest entered the race to sign Ramón Sosa and began discussions with Talleres regarding a potential transfer this summer.

Two days later, journalist Bruno Pont reported that Forest had made a $14m bid, which did not persuade the Argentine club. Talleres reportedly gave Nottingham Forest until the end of July to submit a revised offer.

According to Thursday’s edition of Clarín, Nuno Espírito Santo’s side appears to have made progress in their pursuit of the winger. The newspaper notes that the Paraguay international was excluded from the squad for his team’s 1-1 draw against CA Banfield on Sunday. Sosa, who has not played for Talleres since the Copa América, has traveled to England with Talleres president Andrés Fassi to finalize his move to Nottingham Forest.

Clarín reports that Nottingham Forest are offering $14m (£11m) to secure Sosa’s services, with the deal expected to be finalized soon. Notably, while last week’s report mentioned that the $14m bid did not sway Talleres, Clarín indicates that the agreement will proceed for the same amount.
