
For anyone who believes female athletes should earn less because their sports generate less revenue, Caitlin Clark just disproved that notion in a monumental way. Clark has achieved something no professional basketball player has done since Michael Jordan. Her latest historic milestone? Signing a contract with Wilson Sporting Goods Co., the official basketball supplier for both the WNBA and NBA.
According to CNN, Clark will collaborate with Wilson to create “signature basketball collections celebrating Clark’s continued legacy.” She will test, advise, and provide feedback on various basketball products, and creatively direct her first-ever signature basketball line. This deal is reportedly similar to the one Michael Jordan had in the 1980s.

“Wilson has been with me across some of the most pivotal moments in my career so far, and I couldn’t be more excited to continue driving basketball forward alongside them,” Clark said in a press release. “It feels surreal to have my own basketball collection and to influence what that means for future generations of athletes.”
This is Clark’s second major endorsement deal reminiscent of Michael Jordan’s career. In April, she signed a $28 million contract with Nike, which includes a signature shoe, as reported by CBS Sports.
