BREAKING: Celtic to Land their Target Defender!

Celtic are keen on acquiring Owen Beck from Liverpool. The Welsh defender drew Brendan Rodgers’ attention during his notable stint at Dundee. Although a loan attempt in January fell through, Celtic’s interest remains strong.

According to Sky Sports reporter Anthony Joseph, Celtic are now aiming for a permanent transfer for Beck, though they will have to compete with QPR for his signature. Joseph shared on Twitter/X that a decision regarding Beck’s future is expected next week, and a permanent transfer is possible if the financial terms are agreeable.

Beck had an impressive season under Tony Docherty at Dens Park, participating in 28 matches across all competitions, scoring two goals, and providing four assists. However, an injury late in the season prevented him from showcasing his skills in the post-split games.

Beck has only made three appearances for Liverpool, one of which was a brief stint against Bournemouth that ultimately hindered his chances of securing a loan move to Celtic.
