BREAKING: Leicester City boss set for special reunion as Foxes sign French striker

Leicester City has bolstered its squad with the acquisition of talented forward Noemie Mouchon from Stade de Reims, pending necessary clearances. The 21-year-old has inked a three-year deal at the King Power Stadium, joining the club ahead of the upcoming 2024/25 Barclays Women’s Super League season.

Mouchon’s impressive performance in the Première Ligue last season, where she scored nine goals in 22 league appearances, caught the attention of Leicester City. The French striker expressed her enthusiasm about joining the club, stating, “I’m thrilled to sign for Leicester City and aim to have a fantastic season. This club has a reputation for developing players with potential, and the WSL is the most coveted league in Europe, if not globally. It’s a dream for many female footballers to play in England.”

Hailing from northern France, Mouchon began her senior career with Lille OSC in 2019 before joining Reims in 2023, where she played under Leicester City’s new manager, Amandine Miquel. Her successful season with Reims saw the team finish fourth in the league, and she has also represented France at various youth levels.

Mouchon will join her new teammates for pre-season training later this month and becomes Leicester’s fifth summer signing, following Asmita Ale, Chantelle Swaby, Sari Kees, and Ruby Mace. The Foxes will commence their WSL campaign against Liverpool on September 22.
