BREAKING NEWS: AC Milan Player has been suspended for violating FIFA Betting Rules

Former AC Milan player and executive Zvonimir Boban recently shared his thoughts on the club’s current situation in an interview with *La Gazzetta dello Sport*. Boban expressed concerns about the tactical approach under new manager Paulo Fonseca and questioned some of the club’s recent decisions.

Speaking about Fonseca’s tactics, Boban said, “Unfortunately, we’re still in court, but for me, Milan is always Milan. I have great respect for Fonseca’s work at Shakhtar, Lille, and his early days at Roma. He’s just arrived in Milan and needs time, but my concern is that he hasn’t yet realized this team can and must only play with a 4-3-3 formation.”

Boban also discussed the midfield, saying, “Reijnders isn’t suited for a two-man midfield, and Loftus lacks the creativity needed to play as a number ten. They are both box-to-box midfielders, ball carriers, not true playmakers. Fonseca is still early in his tenure, he’s smart, and I hope he can address this because, beyond the results, the main issue is the style of play, which is currently lacking.”

Addressing the recent incident involving Theo Hernandez and Rafael Leao, Boban remarked, “They made a mistake and then turned the game around. I hope everything gets resolved; they’re good guys.”

Regarding Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s new role at the club, Boban expressed some uncertainty: “Zlatan is a genius, and I’ll always be grateful to him for returning out of love for Milan, changing the club’s recent history. However, I’m unclear about what his role is now, what his responsibilities and competencies are. I hope he understands them because, in the end, it will be him who is judged, not Moncada.”
