BREAKING NEWS: Djokovic Rubbishes Retirement Talks After Olympics Win

Novak Djokovic has achieved nearly everything possible in tennis, yet he shows no signs of retiring. His passion for the sport remains strong, as evidenced by his recent comments about the next Olympics. The Serbian star, currently 37 years old, expressed his desire to compete in the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, even though he will be 41 by then.

While this goal might seem surprising, it reflects Djokovic’s enduring commitment to the sport. Despite having a record of accomplishments that few can match, Djokovic dismissed the notion of retirement. He recently defeated the top player in the world, who is 16 years his junior, in the Olympic final, demonstrating his continued competitiveness on the court.

Djokovic’s love for tennis and competition keeps him motivated. “I know that I have already won all the big tournaments, but I still love this sport,” he said. “I love competing, training day after day, continuing to improve, and taking care of my body. Tennis means a lot to me, and I do my best to give back to this sport everything it has given me.”

He has previously mentioned that he would retire when he no longer enjoys the sport or isn’t competitive, but that time clearly hasn’t come. He still finds joy in competing and has proven his capabilities with his recent Olympic victory.

For now, Djokovic continues to compete on the ATP Tour. Despite his recent triumph, he will soon need to prepare for the upcoming North American leg of the tour, including the Cincinnati Open and the season’s last major, the US Open.
