Norwich City is gearing up for their third consecutive season in the Championship after their relegation from the Premier League in 2022. The transfer window has been relatively quiet for them so far, with only one new signing and one departure in addition to the players released earlier this month.
Johannes Hoff Thorup, the newly appointed manager of Norwich City, may need to offload a few more players to make room for new arrivals.
Here are three players who could benefit from leaving Carrow Road before the new season begins:
The young centre-back made his senior debut last season, playing the full match in Norwich City’s Carabao Cup loss to Fulham. However, his first-team opportunities were limited, and he only made two more appearances throughout the season. Warner was loaned out to Notts County in League Two midway through the season, where he made 10 appearances and started eight of them. With his current contract running until next summer, it might be crucial for Warner to secure regular first-team football, either through another loan move or a permanent transfer, to boost his chances of securing a contract renewal or finding a new club.
Since making his Premier League debut as a 19-year-old, things have not quite gone as planned for Springett at Norwich City. At just 21, there is still potential for development, but his progress might be better served elsewhere. With only 18 appearances for the Canaries in recent seasons and limited success on loan spells with Derby County and Northampton Town, a move to a lower division could help him gain confidence. Given the competition at Norwich City, a permanent transfer might be the best option for Springett to restart his career.
