Tottenham are nearing the sale of Emerson Royal before the transfer window closes, according to sources at Football Insider.
On the latest episode of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke disclosed that negotiations between Spurs and AC Milan for the right-back are ongoing. Although the Italian club has had a few bids rejected for the 25-year-old, they are reportedly close to meeting Tottenham’s valuation.
The two clubs are close to agreeing on a deal worth £15 million, potentially rising to £20 million with add-ons, which Tottenham is set to accept. With Pedro Porro established as the first-choice right-back under Ange Postecoglou, Spurs have several other options in the position.
