BREAKING NEWS: Tottenham Star has been suspended for violating FIFA Betting policy

Tottenham defender Cristian Romero is facing another suspension, this time for Argentina, after losing his temper during their recent defeat.

The fiery center-back let his emotions get the best of him in a tense FIFA World Cup qualifier against Colombia, a match Argentina lost 2-1.

According to reports from Clarin, Romero was heavily involved in post-match protests, visibly frustrated with the outcome. His actions led to a yellow card, which pushed him over the caution limit and resulted in his suspension for Argentina’s next qualifier against Venezuela.

This is a significant blow for Argentina manager Lionel Scaloni, who considers Romero a crucial part of his defensive strategy.

This marks Romero’s second confirmed suspension of the week. On Monday, it was reported that the Tottenham defender will also miss the Europa League group stage opener against Qarabag on September 27th due to a suspension carried over from their 2022 Champions League campaign.

Romero has been a key figure in Tottenham’s defense since joining the club, recognized as one of their top players and a leader within the squad.

While he is known for his aggressive and dependable defending, Romero’s style has led to several disciplinary issues, including four red cards in the Premier League—the most of any player since his arrival. However, he has made significant strides in improving this aspect of his game, particularly after being appointed vice-captain by manager Ange Postecoglou last season.
