In anticipation of the upcoming Paris Olympics, Nike has launched Kevin Durant’s 17th signature sneaker, the Nike KD 17 “USA,” on July 1. This release coincides with Durant’s fourth Olympic appearance, aiming to capitalize on the global sporting event’s marketing buzz.
According to Sports Illustrated, the Nike KD 17 “USA” showcases the iconic red, white, and blue colors reminiscent of the American flag. Priced at $150, the sneaker is now available for purchase on Nike’s official website. The design features a nostalgic style that draws comparisons to the Nike Air Max Plus.

In addition to Durant’s release, other NBA stars like LeBron James, Ja Morant, and James Harden are also introducing new sneakers tailored for eager fans and sneaker enthusiasts.
Sports Illustrated reports that Ja Morant of the Memphis Grizzlies is launching his inaugural signature sneaker, the Nike Ja 1 “USA,” in a similar color scheme, also priced at $150 on Nike’s platform. Meanwhile, Nike is leveraging the popularity of LeBron James with the Nike LeBron 21 “Pink Multi-Color,” priced slightly higher at $200, coinciding with James’ participation alongside Durant in the Olympics.
Despite not being part of Team USA, James Harden’s eighth signature sneaker, the Adidas Harden Vol. 8 “After Hours,” is being promoted by Adidas and is available for $160 on their website, with certain color options already selling out quickly.
As the Paris Olympics approaches, more sneaker releases are expected. The United States basketball team, featuring Durant and James among others, is poised to defend its gold medal with a star-studded roster that includes Stephen Curry, Anthony Davis, and Kawhi Leonard, among others.
