BREAKING: Sha’Carri Richardson Fires Back at Usain Bolt

Sha’Carri Richardson recently responded to comments made by retired Olympian Usain Bolt, who advised her to “train harder” and “be focused and not say too much” in an interview with The New York Post.

In a social media post captured by The Shade Room, Richardson addressed Bolt’s remarks by sharing a message that read: “Everyone wants to give advice through the media, but none of them actually take the time to speak to her directly. So I understand where she’s coming from. Stop talking about me when you don’t even speak to me.”

Richardson further added, “Good humbling morning to y’all,” expressing that the message reflected her own sentiments.

In his interview, Bolt, an eight-time Olympic gold medalist, suggested that Richardson should train harder and focus more on her craft, especially if she continues to engage in public discourse. “If you talk big, you have to back it up,” Bolt said. “So just train hard, focus, and then perform before you talk about it.”

Richardson, who was suspended for a month this summer, missed the Tokyo Olympics and returned to competition at the Prefontaine Classic in Oregon on August 21, where she finished last in the 100-meter race won by Elaine Thompson-Herah, the Olympic gold medalist.

Bolt noted that Richardson’s pre-race trash talk had motivated her Jamaican competitors, like Thompson-Herah, to push even harder. “Jamaicans were upset because she talked a lot before the race. Jamaicans don’t like when people talk about us because we are a very proud people. So if you talk, you need to back it up. It definitely gave those women extra motivation to win,” he explained.

Bolt, who has retired from professional sports, has now embarked on a music career, releasing his debut reggae album, *Country Yutes*.
