Before this week, Cole Falloway was still in pursuit of his first DIRTcar Summit Racing Equipment Modified Nationals victory. By Sunday at Lincoln Speedway, he had secured two wins.
The Kentucky native, after taking multiple seasons to clinch his first win on Saturday at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55, wasted no time in claiming his second victory just a day later.
Falloway dominated the 25-lap feature race, leading from start to finish and fending off 2023 Summit Modified champion Tyler Nicely.
“It definitely helps when you get a couple of wins,” Falloway said. “It’s really tough out here. There are a lot of strong competitors, and if you can qualify well, win the heat race, and get into the redraw, it makes your night a lot easier.”
At the start of the race, Falloway seized the lead on the first lap, leveraging the track’s outside momentum. He had to manage three restarts within the first 10 laps but successfully maintained his lead each time.
Despite Nicely’s persistent pressure throughout the race and through lapped traffic, Falloway stayed ahead, even surviving a final restart to secure his second consecutive win.
“It means a lot,” Falloway added. “Tyler and I race together often, and he helps me a ton. When he broke down last night, he was the first one to help me make some changes before we went out. Running with him and winning means a lot, as he’s one of the best in modified racing.”
