DONE DEAL: Brisbane Broncos star reportedly signs a “lucrative” deal with a Super League club

According to the Daily Telegraph, fullback Tristan Sailor is reportedly set to join a Merseyside Super League club on a “lucrative” deal starting in 2025.
Sailor, 26, was under contract with the Brisbane Broncos until the end of next year, but the club has agreed to release him from the final year despite wanting to keep him as a backup for Reece Walsh. The release is being finalized and should be officially announced soon. Sailor has made 12 appearances for the Broncos over the past two seasons.
“It’s definitely a hard one,” Sailor said about his future with the Broncos. “I absolutely love the Broncos, but roster-wise it is very hard. That’s why, with the opportunities I get, I want to make the most of them. We have such a strong roster and the thing is everyone (in the playmaking spine) is younger than me … Jock (Madden), Ezra (Mam) and ‘Walshy’. As I always say, I have to take opportunities and where that comes, who knows where it might come.”
Last year, Brisbane boss Kevin Walters blocked a move to Leigh Leopards for Sailor, as Walters wanted to keep him as part of his efforts to win the premiership.
