DONE DEAL: Ipswich Town finalizes deal for Burnley winger

The 19-year-old was a standout player for Burnley last season, despite the team’s relegation from the Premier League.

Ipswich Town is seeking attacking reinforcements after missing out on Jaden Philogene, who rejoined Aston Villa. They are now targeting France Under-23 international Odobert.

This summer has been an exceptionally busy transfer window for the newly promoted Premier League side, with the signings of Omari Hutchinson, Jacob Greaves, and Liam Delap.

Kieran McKenna and his team aim to assemble a squad capable of avoiding relegation and view Odobert as a key addition. Odobert made 33 appearances in his first season at Burnley, scoring three goals and providing three assists after joining from French side Troyes.

The versatile winger, who can play on either the right or left, prefers the left side to cut in and challenge defenders. Ipswich is keen on acquiring a new winger following the loss of Philogene, and Odobert brings Premier League experience while still being young.

Burnley would like to retain Odobert but may have to reluctantly sell if he pushes for a return to the Premier League.
