DONE DEAL: Leicester City lands Celtic Target on loan, Documents signed

Steve Cooper is actively seeking additional reinforcements as Leicester City prepare for their return to the Premier League next season.

The Leicester manager recognizes the need to strengthen the squad in multiple areas, particularly to boost creativity and goal-scoring ability, which are crucial for survival in the top flight.

Facundo Buonanotte has attracted interest from Scottish champions Celtic, with Brendan Rodgers eager to bolster his squad. However, it appears that Rodgers’ former club, Leicester, is now leading the race, having made significant progress in negotiations.

Reports suggest that Leicester is accelerating their efforts to secure the 19-year-old, aiming to finalize the deal within the next 24 to 48 hours.

Buonanotte, who joined Brighton from Rosario Central in January last year, has made 50 appearances for the Seagulls. Brighton is keen for him to gain regular Premier League experience next season to aid his development.

If Leicester succeeds in signing Buonanotte, it would be a setback for Celtic, who also face the potential departure of Matt O’Riley.
