Okoli, who joined Atalanta in 2020, has spent much of his tenure on loan, making 17 appearances for the club. The recent signing of Ben Godfrey from Everton, who plays in Okoli’s position, has paved the way for Okoli’s departure.

Although Okoli has struggled for regular first-team opportunities at Atalanta, he brings substantial experience for a young player, having made 180 career appearances across Serie A, Serie B, and Primavera 1.
Okoli’s move to Leicester follows a successful loan spell at Frosinone Calcio last season, where he featured in 37 matches.
