DONE DEAL: Los Angeles Dodgers have completed their 3-team trade with the Chicago White Sox and St. Louis Cardinals

The Los Angeles Dodgers have finalized a three-team trade with the Chicago White Sox and St. Louis Cardinals. The details of the trade are as follows:
Edman, versatile in both the infield and outfield, is expected to cover third base and shortstop positions, especially with Max Muncy, Mookie Betts, and Miguel Rojas currently unavailable. Additionally, Edman can play center field, providing defensive stability as Andy Pages continues to develop.
Edman has a career batting average of .265 with an OPS of .726, and has stolen 89 bases over the past three years.
Gonzalez, a 17-year-old right-handed pitcher from Panama, signed for $400,000 in the most recent international class. This season, he has pitched 21.1 innings in the Dominican Summer League with a 4.22 ERA.
Despite Kopech’s 4.74 ERA, the Dodgers are likely intrigued by his impressive strikeout and whiff percentages, standing at 30.9% and 30.6% respectively. Additionally, he ranks in the 99th percentile for fastball velocity. The Dodgers are expected to make adjustments to transform him into a dominant high-leverage reliever.
