AC Milan and Monza have reportedly reached an agreement for the permanent transfer of Daniel Maldini to the Biancorossi this summer. According to Sky Sport Italia, the 22-year-old will return to the Brianteo Stadium on a permanent basis.
Although Sky did not disclose specific figures, several domestic sources suggest the transfer fee is around €5 million. Maldini was loaned to Monza by Milan last January to provide him with regular first-team football and valuable Serie A experience.

Under the guidance of Raffaele Palladino, Maldini performed well in the latter part of the season, scoring four goals and helping Monza secure a mid-table finish. Impressed by his contributions, former Milan CEO Adriano Galliani has been working to finalize Maldini’s permanent move to Monza since the beginning of the summer.
After weeks of negotiations, the deal is finally set. However, it is surprising that Milan has decided to part ways with Paolo Maldini’s son so easily. There is a sentiment that Paulo Fonseca’s team did not give the young talent a fair chance to prove his abilities at San Siro.
In a pre-season friendly against Rapid Wien, Maldini showcased his potential by assisting Alessandro Florenzi in a 1-1 draw. Despite joining Fonseca’s squad for a cross-Atlantic trip, Maldini will not be part of the United States tour as he prepares to return to Italy to join Monza.
Meanwhile, Milan has faced challenges in acquiring new players. The latest name linked to a move to Lombardia is Johnny Cardoso from Real Betis.
