Newcastle United has successfully reached an agreement to sign Sheffield United striker William Osula. The Denmark Under-21 international is set to move to the North East to finalize the transfer.
Deal Details
According to The Athletic’s George Caulkin, Newcastle and Sheffield United have agreed on a £10 million fee, with an additional £5 million in potential future add-ons. The 20-year-old striker is on his way to Tyneside to negotiate personal terms and undergo a medical examination, neither of which are expected to pose any issues.
Confirmation and Contract
Fabrizio Romano reports that Newcastle plans to announce Osula’s arrival “very soon.” The agreement with Sheffield United and the player’s representatives is in place, and Osula is poised to sign a long-term contract at St James’ Park.

Standing at 6ft 3in, Osula is known for his height, mobility, quick feet, and significant potential. Despite being a work in progress, he is expected to benefit greatly from working under Eddie Howe and learning from Newcastle’s star forward Alexander Isak and experienced Premier League striker Callum Wilson, assuming Wilson remains for the final year of his contract.
Recent Performance
Osula has been in impressive form this summer, scoring four goals in his last three games for both club and country. He netted a brace for Denmark’s U21s and followed it up with pre-season goals against York and Chesterfield.
