DONE DEAL: Tottenham Finalize £30 million deal for Leeds Midfielder

Tottenham are on the verge of finalizing a £30 million deal to sign Leeds United’s promising teenager Archie Gray. As part of this transfer, Joe Rodon will be heading to Leeds in a separate arrangement.

Brentford had initially shown interest in the 18-year-old Leeds star, who made 50 appearances for the Championship team last season as a central midfielder and right-back. However, negotiations fell through due to disagreements over the payment structure, allowing Tottenham to step in. The deal, which includes a fee between £25 million and £30 million plus Rodon going to Leeds, is now nearing completion. Gray is expected to sign a long-term contract and will play both in rotation with Pedro Porro at right-back and in midfield under manager Ange Postecoglou.

Rodon, currently in Santa Barbara for preseason training, will likely join Leeds, where he had a successful loan spell last season. Leeds rejected a £10 million offer for Rodon from Ipswich, showing strong interest in retaining his services. Additionally, Leeds manager Daniel Farke admires Spurs midfielder Oliver Skipp, though Skipp is not expected to be included in these negotiations.

This move marks another strategic acquisition for Tottenham, adding to their summer transfer activities as they rebuild under Postecoglou’s leadership.
