Tottenham Hotspur is close to finalizing a new contract with their promising youth academy star, Mikey Moore.
Moore’s future has been a hot topic recently. The young attacking talent is considered one of the brightest prospects in England, attracting interest from several top European clubs. However, according to a report from Football Insider, Tottenham is on the verge of securing a new deal with the English youth international.
Despite rumors of a potential move away, Spurs remain confident in extending the 16-year-old’s contract. Moore, who has already made his senior team debut under manager Ange Postecoglou, is expected to sign a professional deal once he turns 17 on August 11th.

Moore became the youngest player in Tottenham’s history to feature in a Premier League match when Postecoglou handed him his debut at the end of last season. Currently part of the Under-18 team, Moore has been included in Spurs’ squad for their pre-season tour to Japan and Korea, where he is expected to get playing time as Postecoglou considers him for the first-team squad for the 2024/25 season.
Having been with the Tottenham academy since he was eight, Moore has rapidly progressed through the ranks and has been a regular for both the Under-18 and Under-21 teams. Primarily playing as a left-winger, the versatile teenager can perform effectively in various attacking positions. Given Moore’s potential, securing his long-term future is a top priority for Spurs.
