DONE DEAL: Tottenham Star set for Transfer Deal

Tottenham has announced that Bryan Gil and Sergio Reguilon are free to “explore prospective transfer opportunities” after being excluded from Ange Postecoglou’s pre-season tour squad in Asia. This decision comes as Tottenham prepares for the 2024/25 season, having already played twice this summer.

Several squad changes have been made since the end of last season, with some players already moved on and others still in the process of being sold. Postecoglou’s 31-man squad for the upcoming fixtures suggests more departures are imminent.

Pre-Season Fixtures and Potential Departures

Tottenham has already secured victories against Hearts and Queen’s Park Rangers and will next face Vissel Kobe, K-League All-Stars, and Bayern Munich. By the end of the pre-season tour, both Gil and Reguilon could have found new clubs.

The club confirmed that the Spanish duo has been “granted permission” to seek transfers. In contrast, Emerson Royal, another player available for transfer, has not been given the same liberty, as Spurs have not yet found a suitable buyer for him.

Gil and Reguilon’s Future

Bryan Gil, who only made 12 appearances last season due to injuries, still has two years left on his contract. Sergio Reguilon, on the other hand, spent the last season on loan at Manchester United and Brentford but couldn’t secure a spot in Postecoglou’s plans with Destiny Udogie preferred in his position. Reguilon’s contract expires next summer, and he would be able to leave on a free transfer then, or negotiate an exit with non-European clubs from January.
