Great News: NASCAR Veteran Secures $8.8M Deal for Full-Time Return

NASCAR veteran A.J. Allmendinger is making a full-time comeback to the Cup Series next season after securing an $8.8 million deal with Kaulig Racing. The 42-year-old driver, who has spent three of the last four seasons competing full-time in the Xfinity Series, is now set to return to the top-tier NASCAR series.

In 2023, Allmendinger raced full-time in the Cup Series with Kaulig Racing, securing six top-six finishes, including a victory at the Bank of America Roval 400. However, these achievements weren’t enough to guarantee him a full-time seat for 2024, leading to a more sporadic presence in the Cup Series this year. Despite this, Allmendinger has still made 10 appearances in the Cup Series in 2024, achieving three top-six finishes while also competing in the Xfinity Series.

Kaulig Racing recently confirmed the news on social media, announcing that Allmendinger will return to full-time Cup Series competition in 2025. The team’s post on X (formerly Twitter) excitedly shared, “We know where he’ll be in 2025, @AJDinger will return to full-time @NASCAR Cup Series competition for Kaulig Racing!”

Allmendinger is scheduled to compete in both the Cup Series and Xfinity Series this weekend, participating in the FireKeepers Casino 400 at Michigan and the Cabo Wabo 250. His return to the Cup Series marks a significant moment in his career, and fans are eager to see what he can achieve in the upcoming seasons.
