Is Simone Biles able to dunk? Kevin Durant believes that.

Live tracking during the Paris Olympics has showed American gymnast Simone Biles flying to heights greater than 12 feet as she plans to dunk.

So while Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and Stephen Curry were among the men’s basketball stars to take in yet another Biles gold medal performance in the all-around Thursday, it brought up this question: Simone Biles is a dunker.

It’s been determined that Biles’ entire body on the floor routine could clear 7-footers like Tim Duncan and even possibly 7-foot-4 Victor Wembanyama.

A basketball hoop, by the way, is only 10 feet tall.

A basketball itself is a little less than 10 inches, meaning if Biles were to go up for the dunk with the ball, she’d have to get that far over the rim to bring the ball back down. Can she palm a basketball? Probably not.

It has been established that Biles’ full body on the floor technique can clear players who stand seven feet tall, such as Tim Duncan, and potentially even seven feet four Victor Wembanyama.

For the record, a basketball hoop is just ten feet tall. The actual size of a basketball is little less than ten inches, therefore if Biles attempted to dunk the ball, she would need to cross the rim that much in order to bring it back down.

Is she able to palm a ball? Most likely not. That doesn’t make someone stop dunk. The possibility that 4-foot-8 Biles could, in the words of the late Bill Walton, “throw it down” was a topic of discussion among internet forecasters.

How is rookie Darius Robinson of the Arizona Cardinals adjusting to the NFL? Some even looked for reliable sources that came pretty close to the conclusion she could definitely ram one through.

Furthermore, the bouncy-looking mat used in the floor exercise isn’t quite a trampoline as one might imagine. Watching Simone Biles’ gold performance, USA Basketball PARIS (AP) — The American men’s basketball team honored their promise by showing up to see Simone Biles during the Paris Games.

She didn’t let me down either. Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant and other players of the Olympic team were in Paris on Thursday night to see the women’s all-around competition, which featured Biles as the main attraction.
