The situation has changed due to Julian Alvarez’s impending transfer to Atlético Madrid, prompting City to seek a high-caliber replacement.
As reported by The Telegraph, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has identified Neto as a potential addition to enhance his squad.
This development complicates matters for Tottenham, as Manchester City is now also pursuing Neto. Despite recently acquiring Brazilian winger Savinho for £30.8 million, City is still looking to further strengthen their attacking options.
Pedro Neto, under contract with Wolves until June 2027, has attracted significant interest due to his impressive performances. Last season, the Portuguese international scored three goals and provided 11 assists in 24 appearances across the Premier League and FA Cup. His speed, dribbling ability, and effectiveness on the wing have made him a standout player for Wolves, contributing 14 goals and 24 assists in all competitions since joining the club.
Tottenham has expressed strong interest in Neto and has reportedly engaged in discussions about a potential transfer. Spurs insider Paul O’Keefe has indicated that the club has been actively exploring the possibility of signing him. However, Wolves are not eager to part with their star player and might only reconsider if an offer between £55 to £60 million is made.
