JUST IN: Two Dallas Cowboys Players set to join The Commanders

Dan Quinn

is reportedly bringing some familiar faces to the Washington Commanders.

Formerly the defensive coordinator for the Dallas Cowboys for the past three seasons, Quinn is interested in acquiring two free agents from the Cowboys: center Tyler Biadasz and defensive lineman Dorance Armstrong.

Sources indicate that the Commanders are expected to sign Armstrong and Biadasz when the new NFL season starts on Wednesday. Teams are currently allowed to negotiate with free agents during the “legal tampering” period.

According to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, Biadasz is set to sign a $30 million contract over three seasons. Details about Armstrong’s contract have not been reported yet.

Biadasz, 26, was a fourth-round draft pick by the Cowboys out of Wisconsin in 2020. After primarily being a reserve in his rookie season, he started 49 out of 51 regular-season games at center over the next three years and made the Pro Bowl in 2022.

Armstrong, 26, was a fourth-round pick in 2018. During his six seasons with Dallas, he accumulated 169 total tackles, 23.5 sacks, four fumble recoveries, three forced fumbles, and four pass breakups over 93 games. Notably, 21 of those sacks came in the last three seasons, including a career-high 8.5 in 2022.

Both players will now join Quinn, who was appointed as Washington’s new head coach in February, succeeding Ron Rivera.
