NHRA UNVEILS 20-RACE SCHEDULE FOR 2025 SEASON

The 2025 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series will feature numerous milestone anniversaries within an extensive 20-race lineup, the longest-running professional drag racing series announced today. This season’s schedule promises exciting commemorations and high-octane action.

The 2025 season kicks off with the third consecutive year starting at Gainesville Raceway in Gainesville, Florida, setting the tone for an adrenaline-pumping series. Notably, three races will celebrate their 25th anniversaries, culminating with the 60th annual In-N-Out Burger NHRA Finals in Pomona. These silver anniversary events include both races at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and the Route 66 Nationals in Chicago.

In addition to these milestone events, the 65th anniversary of the Lucas Oil NHRA Winternationals in Pomona will be celebrated, alongside the 40th anniversaries at Firebird Motorsports Park in Phoenix, Texas Motorplex in Dallas, and Maple Grove Raceway in Reading, Pennsylvania. Four-wide drag racing will also mark its 15th anniversary at zMAX Dragway in Charlotte, adding to the series’ rich history.

For the 2025 season, the NHRA U.S. Nationals in Indianapolis, running from August 27 to September 1, will feature five qualifying sessions, while the Virginia NHRA Nationals will once again include three qualifying sessions on Saturday as part of a two-day event. All other races will maintain a structure of four qualifying sessions, with two sessions on Friday and two on Saturday.

We’ve enjoyed many special moments this year and look forward to continuing that into our 2025 season.”

After starting the season with the NHRA Gatornationals, the series heads west for three events. The 40th annual NHRA Arizona Nationals at Firebird Motorsports Park in Phoenix will be held from March 21-23, followed by the 65th annual Lucas Oil NHRA Winternationals at In-N-Out Burger Pomona Dragstrip from March 27-30. The two four-wide races will follow, beginning with the 25th annual NHRA 4-Wide Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway from April 11-13 and then the 15th annual NHRA 4-Wide Nationals in Charlotte from April 25-27.

In May, the 25th annual Gerber Collision & Glass Route 66 NHRA Nationals presented by PEAK Performance will be held from May 16-18 at Route 66 Raceway in Chicago. June will open with the 12th annual New England Nationals at New England Dragway in Epping, New Hampshire, from May 30-June 1, followed by the 24th annual Super Grip NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals at Bristol Dragway in Tennessee from June 6-8.

After a successful return in 2024, the Virginia NHRA Nationals will be back for the fifth annual event at Virginia Motorsports Park from June 20-22. The month will close with the 19th annual Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio, from June 26-29.

July will see the 36th annual NHRA Northwest Nationals at Pacific Raceways in Seattle from July 18-20, followed by the 37th annual DENSO NHRA Sonoma Nationals at Sonoma Raceway in California from July 25-27. The regular season will conclude with the 43rd annual Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals at Brainerd International Raceway in Minnesota from August 14-17.

The 71st annual NHRA U.S. Nationals will take place from August 27-September 1 at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park, marking the pinnacle of drag racing where competitors strive for victory on the sport’s grandest stage.

The Countdown to the Championship playoffs will kick off with three consecutive race weekends. The 40th annual NHRA Nationals at Maple Grove Raceway in Reading, Pennsylvania, will run from September 11-14, followed by the 17th annual NHRA Carolina Nationals at zMAX Dragway in Charlotte from September 19-21, and the 14th annual NHRA Midwest Nationals at World Wide Technology Raceway in St. Louis from September 26-28.

October will feature the 40th annual Texas NHRA FallNationals at Texas Motorplex in Dallas from October 9-12, celebrating four decades of racing as part of the Stampede of Speed. The Countdown will wrap up with the 25th annual NHRA Nevada Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway from October 30-November 2. Champions will be crowned at the 60th annual In-N-Out Burger NHRA Finals at In-N-Out Burger Pomona Dragstrip from November 13-16.
