REPORT: Milan Engage in Talks Over Valencia Midfielder

AC Milan are exploring various options in the summer transfer window, including potential midfield reinforcements, with Javi Guerra being a notable target.

According to Calciomercato.com, Milan remain interested in Yossouf Fofana, identified by Geoffrey Moncada as an ideal addition to the midfield. Discussions with Fofana’s agent are ongoing, aiming to narrow the gap with Monaco, who are demanding €25 million.

The Rossoneri management is also considering alternative options to avoid being unprepared. Javi Guerra has recently emerged as a potential candidate. He is a versatile player capable of operating as a mezzala or in a double pivot in front of the defense.

Milan values Guerra’s quality and game understanding, and the report mentions that they have had ‘exploratory contacts’ with his Italian intermediary recently. However, time is a factor.

Moncada is prepared to pursue Guerra only if Fofana’s transfer falls through. Meanwhile, Real Sociedad are making significant strides toward meeting the €20 million asking price for Guerra, with Girona also showing interest.
