REPORT: Reports suggest that the Texas Rangers might alter their strategy for the MLB trade deadline.

Despite their championship hangover from last fall, the Rangers are only three games behind the Houston Astros in a lackluster American League West this season.
Earlier reports indicated that Texas might consider selling players before next week’s MLB trade deadline. While this is still a possibility, particularly with rental players, there’s more to the story.
“The team would like to add another bat, and perhaps a controllable reliever,” reports Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic.
The report also suggests that Texas could look to trade impending free agent Michael Lorenzen. Additionally, fellow starter Jon Gray might be available to a lesser extent before the deadline.
