The New York Yankees, playing at home, extended their lead in impressive fashion with a three-run home run by Jon Berti in the fourth inning and a two-run shot by Aaron Judge in the fifth. This power display helped the Yankees secure a 7-2 victory over the Chicago White Sox on Sunday afternoon, extending their winning streak to a season-high seven games.
The Yankees have been on a tear, winning 13 of their last 15 games. This streak marks their best run since they won seven consecutive games from September 18–25, 2022. Additionally, the victory clinched their fourth series sweep of the season.
Despite falling behind by two runs early, the Yankees quickly responded. Jose Trevino’s two-run single in the second inning leveled the score, setting the stage for Berti’s pivotal hit.

In the fourth inning, Berti launched a 366-foot home run into the right-center field bleachers, just beyond the Yankees’ bullpen, off Chicago starter Chris Flexen (2-4). This three-run homer, Berti’s first since joining the Yankees from the Miami Marlins after spring training, broke a 2-2 tie and gave New York a decisive lead.
The Yankees added to their advantage in the fifth inning. After Juan Soto drew a walk, Judge hammered a pitch down the right-field line for a 339-foot home run. The ball landed in the first row before bouncing back onto the field, extending the Yankees’ lead to 7-2.
With their recent hot streak, the Yankees continue to demonstrate their offensive prowess and resilience, making them a formidable team as the season progresses.
