SAD NEWS: Brisbane Broncos have broken their silence amid an investigation into a star player

The Brisbane Broncos have addressed allegations that one of their players was involved in a domestic violence incident on Sunday.

The club reported that they had informed the NRL Integrity Unit about the matter involving a player.

“The health and wellbeing of all parties is paramount for our club, and support has been offered to those involved,” a club spokesperson stated.

“At this stage, the Club is not in a position to comment further.”

No charges have been filed.

An NRL spokesperson confirmed that they are aware of the situation and are in contact with the Broncos.

A Queensland Police spokesperson told NewsWire that police are investigating a domestic violence report related to an incident in Brisbane’s south on Sunday.

“Investigations into this matter are ongoing,” the spokesperson said.

“No arrests have been made and no one is in custody over the incident.”
