Tottenham have received a significant boost with both Micky van de Ven and Dominic Solanke being declared fit to play against Arsenal.
Van de Ven, who missed the 2-1 loss to Newcastle before the international break due to a knee issue, and Solanke, the club’s new £65 million signing, sidelined since an ankle injury on his debut in the season opener, are both ready for action. Van de Ven had to withdraw from the Netherlands squad during the break.
Ahead of Sunday’s north London derby at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou said, “It’s looking positive. Micky’s good; he trained throughout the international break, which was great for him to build back up and be ready to go. Dom has also improved and trained towards the end of the week. We still have a couple of days to go, so hopefully, they come through training okay and are available.”
However, Spurs might be without Yves Bissouma, who picked up an injury while on international duty with Mali.
“We had the last of the boys return late on Thursday, so we’ll assess them today. Everyone’s in good shape except for Biss,” Postecoglou added on Friday. “He’s dealing with a bit of an issue, but we’ll see how it progresses over the next couple of days.”
