Tottenham Hotspur and Everton have reached a mutual understanding regarding the potential renewal of Dele Alli’s contract with Everton, which would entail future payments to Spurs, according to football.london.
Recent reports indicate that Everton and Spurs have agreed that no immediate fee will be required if Alli signs a new contract with the Merseyside club. Alli, who joined Everton in January 2022 on a backloaded financial deal based on appearances, is currently out of contract but is training lightly with Everton in hopes of earning a new deal.

As part of the original agreement, Tottenham would receive a fee if Alli signed a new contract with Everton. Despite being out of contract, Alli has been training with Everton, who plan to give him a chance to impress during pre-season and potentially secure a new deal.
Having played 269 times for Spurs with 67 goals and 58 assists, Alli’s time at Everton has been marred by injuries and limited appearances. He made only 13 appearances for Everton before being loaned to Besiktas and hasn’t played a competitive match since February 2023 due to a hip injury and a subsequent groin issue.
Despite his contract ending, Alli is nearing a return to fitness and has been receiving treatment at Everton. The agreement between the clubs stipulates that Tottenham would receive additional payments based on specific objectives and a sell-on clause if Alli is later transferred from Everton.
The aim is for Alli to regain his form, benefiting both Everton and Tottenham financially and performance-wise.
