Tottenham Captain Son Heung-min’s Return to Pre-Season Training!

Tottenham captain Son Heung-min has returned to Hotspur Way for pre-season training, receiving a heartwarming send-off from fans in his homeland, South Korea. His return marks the beginning of another busy season.

During his summer break, Son had a touching interaction with an elderly South Korean woman dealing with dementia. Upon his departure from Seoul’s Incheon International Airport, he was met with large crowds of fans who knew he would spend his birthday in the UK. He was showered with birthday cards and even blew out a candle on a cake made by a fan.

Son, who turned 32 on Monday, received extra vacation time due to South Korea’s extended World Cup qualifiers. This meant he returned to training a couple of days later than some teammates, including James Maddison, Ben Davies, and Dejan Kulusevski, who were already back at Hotspur Way under new coach Ange Postecoglou.

Having played matches in Singapore and South Korea until June 11, Son’s international duties ended a few days after many of his teammates. Upon his arrival in London, he met new faces at the club, including Lucas Bergvall and Archie Gray, having previously welcomed Bergvall via text when he signed with the club.

Tottenham fans can expect another wave of “Sonny-mania” as Son and the team embark on a tour to Asia, including stops in Japan and South Korea, where he will surely be greeted by enthusiastic supporters.
