Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly nearing a deal to sign Santiago Giménez from Feyenoord this summer, according to journalist Juan Carlos Cruz.
The North London club aims to strengthen their squad after finishing fifth in the Premier League last season. Manager Ange Postecoglou is looking to bolster several areas, with priorities including a centre-back and midfield reinforcement, but a new striker is also high on the agenda.
Giménez has emerged as a primary target, with Tottenham making significant strides towards securing his signature. Juan Carlos Cruz, via TUDNRadio, reports that Spurs have already initiated negotiations for the 23-year-old Mexican, who is currently playing for Mexico in Copa America.

The journalist also revealed that Tottenham have submitted a formal offer for Giménez. Atletico Madrid has also shown interest and made a bid, but Tottenham’s offer is reportedly higher, making it challenging for the Spanish club to match.
Feyenoord is said to value Giménez at around £85 million. It remains to be seen how much Tottenham will ultimately spend to secure the forward.
Giménez had a stellar season last term, scoring 26 goals and providing eight assists in 41 appearances across all competitions. Tottenham fans will hope he can bring similar success to the Premier League if the deal goes through.
Standing at 6 feet tall, Giménez is known for his excellent finishing and work ethic off the ball. His talent could make him a valuable addition to Tottenham’s attack.
As negotiations continue, it will be interesting to see if Tottenham can finalize the signing of Santiago Giménez in this transfer window.
