TRADE: Yankees Trade Proposal Involves Acquiring $14 Million Starting Pitcher in a 3-Player Exchange

The New York Yankees, currently holding a 60-43 record, are just one and a half games behind the Baltimore Orioles in the American League East. Despite a recent 10-21 slump, they have the opportunity to bolster their roster before the trade deadline. Chris Kirschner of The Athletic has suggested a trade package that would bring Jack Flaherty from the Detroit Tigers to New York.
Kirschner wrote, “The Yankees could offer a package including starting pitcher Will Warren and outfielder Everson Pereira to the Tigers.” Warren has had difficulties in Triple-A this season, while Pereira is recovering from Tommy John surgery and is expected to be ready for spring training.
Kirschner also mentioned that Warren was in the running to make the Yankees’ roster out of spring training, and Pereira is one of their top prospects, ranked No. 7 and No. 5 respectively.
