AC Milan is gearing up to present a new proposal for AS Monaco midfielder Youssouf Fofana, which includes a percentage of any future transfer fee going to the French club.
According to Il Giornale (via Milan News), the Rossoneri are set to make a fresh bid for the French midfielder next week, aiming to make the offer more appealing with a special clause. Milan’s new offer is anticipated to be €20 million, accompanied by a provision allowing Monaco to receive 10% of any future sale.
Given that Fofana has only one year left on his contract and is 25 years old, his market value is currently lower. This setup means Milan could potentially sell him for more than €20 million in the future if he performs well.
Monaco has reportedly set Fofana’s price at €30 million, so Milan’s bid may still fall short of their expectations. However, this new offer narrows the gap between the two clubs’ valuations.
Despite West Ham offering €30 million, Fofana is primarily interested in joining Milan. He has already agreed to a four-year contract with the Rossoneri, worth €3 million per season. The remaining hurdle lies in reaching an agreement with Monaco.
