Vanessa Bryant is a passionate advocate for women’s sports. Today, she and her daughters, Natalia, Bianka, and Capri, attended the Paris Olympics to cheer on Team USA. The family had front-row seats at the women’s basketball semifinal between the USA and Australia, which the US team won 85-64.
The Bryants were dressed to show their support, with Natalia wearing a white polo jacket featuring red and blue stripes, while Vanessa sported a blue jacket with “USA” and the American flag on the sleeve. Bianka and Capri, the youngest members of the family, wore matching blue and white dresses. Seated next to WNBA legend and South Carolina Gamecocks coach Dawn Staley, Vanessa Bryant had one of the best seats in the arena.

Photos of the family quickly spread across social media, with USA Basketball sharing images on X with the caption, “Everyone watches women’s sports.” The post featured pictures of the Bryants alongside Megan Rapinoe, Sue Bird, and others.
Vanessa Bryant’s dedication to women’s sports is well-known. She frequently attends various women’s sporting events, advocates for equal pay, and is an enthusiastic supporter. Recently, she attended the unveiling of a sculpture of Kobe Bryant and their daughter Gianna, who tragically passed away in a helicopter crash in 2020. During the event, Vanessa emphasized the importance of supporting women’s sports, reflecting on the challenges her daughter Gianna would have faced simply because she was a girl.
“We had to confront the harsh truth that no matter how talented Gianna was or could become, no matter how much Kobe taught her or how closely she played like him, she wouldn’t have had the same opportunities as her dad and other young men, just because she was a girl,” Vanessa shared. “That’s when our family’s commitment to changing the perception of women’s sports truly began.”
